    Brown Booby / Sula leucogaster

    : Sep 17, 2017, an adult perched on a lobster boat s. of Schoodic Point; Jun 2, 2018, an immature near Schoodic Island, seen from a Bar Harbor whale watch boat; Aug 12, 2019 an adult seen from (and ultimately landed on) Mount Desert Rock; and Jul 27, 2021 from Great Duck Island and, presumably the same bird, Aug 2-8, 2021 Mount Desert Rock. It's possible these five records involve only two individuals. All records

    Miscellany: A warming of Gulf of Maine waters especially in the last few decades has led to increased sightings of ‘warm water' pelagics, of which Brown Booby is one.
