: Breeds. early May-late Jul in scrubby woodlands and field margins both in settled areas and in the wilds. The north slope of Cadillac Mountain usually supports several pairs.
: mid/late Apr-late May and again early Sep-early Oct, with a late Sep peak, and to Nov. Habitat as above but also places where migrants concentrate.
: Dec-Mar mostly at bird feeding stations.
Miscellany: Brown Thrashers were one the ‘open country' breeders that became fairly common in the aftermath of the 1947 MDI fire. As these areas slowly became fully forested, thrashers declined as a breeder.
