    Buff-breasted Sandpiper / Calidris subruficollis

: Aug 28, 1975 (2) in Salisbury Cove, the second week of Sep 1982 on Mount Desert Rock, and Sep 7, 2013 at Seawall.

Miscellany: Buff-breasts have one of the longest known non-seabird migrations, up to 25,000 miles round trip each year from the high arctic to southern South America. Most move through the eastern Great Plains and we get only the very occasional young birds moving down the Atlantic Coast.
