Miscellany: Up to the early/mid 1990s, Cliff Swallow was a
common
breeder under favored structures along our waterfront, in towns, around farms and even in shore caves. Their populations plummeted shortly after and at present none are known to breed . The decline in aerial insects at about the same time is thought to have been at least partly responsible.
