    Common Yellowthroat / Geothlypis trichas

    : Breeds. in shrubby growth especially near wet areas.

    : to early May-early Jun with mid May peak and from late Apr, and again mid Aug to early Oct with mid Sep peak and to mid Nov. Habitat as noted above as well as places where migrants gather.

    Miscellany: Common Yellowthroat was one of the first species of bird to be described from ‘The New World' by Carl von Linne (Linnaeus) in 1766.
