    Connecticut Warbler / Oporornis agilis

: Unrecorded in the last 30 years. Formerly early Sep-early Oct in damp overgrown places where migrants concentrate with most records of birds caught in mist nets at bird banding stations. It almost certainly still occurs undetected every fall in very low numbers. Never recorded in spring.

Miscellany: The early American ornithologist, Alexander Wilson, described this bird in 1812 based on a fall migrant he collected in Connecticut. It was a poor choice as the species doesn't breed anywhere near Connecticut and is at best an fall migrant in the state.
