    Cory's Shearwater / Calonectris diomedea

: Non-breeder. late Jun-early Oct with from early Jun. Status after early Oct uncertain due to few data but probably occurs at least into mid/late Nov.

Miscellany: A warm water species, unrecorded before the mid 1970s, Cory's Shearwater has become increasing regular in small numbers as Gulf of Maine waters warmed. In 2018, an observer on Mt. Desert Rock recorded them on 28 of 70 days, with a maxima of 33 on Aug 1. ‘Scopoli's' Shearwater, Calonectris diomedea diomedea, currently a race of Cory's Shearwater but considered by some a separate species, has not been recorded.
