    Eastern Kingbird / Tyrannus tyrannus

    : Breeds. and mid May-early Aug favoring open country, especially the edges of ponds, streams and meadows and pastures.

    Miscellany: Eastern Kingbirds are another aerial insect feeder whose numbers have declined in the last 30 years in parallel with the decline in flying insects. Interestingly for much of their long winter in the western Amazon, they live on fruit.
