    Eurasian Whimbrel / Numenius phaeopus

    Miscellany: Eurasian Whimbrel is a visitor along the Atlantic coast from Newfoundland to Florida, and is in the U.S. interior and along Pacific Coast. It was until recently considered a subspecies of Hudsonian Curlew (now called Hudsonian Whimbrel).
