: mid Mar-late Apr with to late May, and again mid Sep-early Nov with to late Nov, on fresh or brackish water. Nov-early Dec on salt water.
: Jan 1-2, 2015 and Dec 18, 2015 Bass Harbor Marsh, Jan 13-Feb 22, 2020 Seawall, at times on salt water with Mallards, and Dec 15, 2020 Little Long Pond.
Miscellany: While not known to nest here, a few pairs of Gadwall breed in Atlantic Canada and local nesting seems possible.
