    Glaucous Gull / Larus hyperboreus

    : Jun-Sep on saltwater. Most records are of sub-adults.

    : early Nov-late Apr on saltwater with from early Oct and to late May. Most birds are seen in mixed flocks of Herring and Great Black-backed Gulls. on fresh water.

    Miscellany: Until the local sardine packing plants shut down in the 1990s, up to five Glaucous Gulls per plant could be seen each winter feeding on the fish waste from the packing process. At present, it's very unusual to see more than a single bird.
