    Golden-winged Warbler / Vermivora chrysoptera

: Jun 1, 2014 along Jordan Pond. There were a few records from the 1970s to the late 1990s but none since, other than the single record noted above.

Miscellany: In the past 50 years Golden-winged Warbler has disappeared from much of its New England range. Competition with the closely related Blue-winged Warbler, with which it hybridizes, is often given as a reason but habitat loss both here and on its wintering grounds in Central America may have contributed.
