: Early Jun observations in places like Beaver Dam Pond, the Schooner Head Road marshes, and Northeast Creek could be late migrants but mid records there and at Pray's Brook Marsh suggest breeding. However there are as yet no confirmed breeding records.
Migration: mid May-early Jun with outlier from late Apr, and mid Aug-late Sep with to early Oct. A subadult on Mt. Desert Rock Jul 27, 2024 is anomalous.
Miscellany: Green Herons are almost always solitary and inconspicuous. The very few Jul-early Sep records may represent birds dispersing after breeding elsewhere.
