: No breeding records and no reports of the species mid Jun-early Aug, but occasional breeding seems likely.
: late Mar-late Apr on freshwater, often in pairs, with from early Mar and to late May, and late Aug-mid Nov with a peak late Sep-early Oct and to mid Dec. on salt water, sometimes far .
: but seemingly increasing. There was just a single Jan-Feb record up to 2019 but at least seven, mostly males, since then at scattered locations on MDI and Schoodic.
Miscellany: Male Green-winged Teal abandon their mates during egg incubation at which point the species becomes extremely difficult to detect given its preference for nest sites in thick cover on the edge of small wooded ponds and beaver flowages.
