    Lark Bunting / Calamospiza melanocorys

    : Hulls Cove, Sep 24-27, 1965 ; Seawall, Aug 17, 1968 ; Mount Desert Rock, Aug 31, 1989 (banded); Seal Cove, May 29, 2015

Miscellany: Lark Bunting is one of a small number of passerines endemic to North America's prairie grasslands. It's nomadic in fall and winter in search of food, mostly in the Southwest and northern Mexico, so perhaps it's not a surprise that a few have wandered to most of the eastern states and Canadian provinces.
