    Lark Sparrow / Chondestes grammacus

: mid Aug-mid Oct especially along the and with most records mid-late Aug and to mid Nov. One late Dec 1973 record from Schoodic Point.

Miscellany: Although we don't see it here, male Lark Sparrow has a most unusual courtship for a songbird, strutting on the ground like a turkey with its long, white cornered tail held high and wings drooped almost to the earth.
