Migration: . No records since the late 1970s. Most records up to that time were presumed migrants, mid-Aug-early Sep.
Miscellany: Loggerheads bred locally in Maine in the first half of the 20th century, but not here. No confirmed breeding records statewide since the mid 1970s, and very few scattered records, mostly Apr-Jun, since then. However it's been recorded annually since 2022, perhaps and hopefully reversing a lengthy near absence.
