    Nelson's Sparrow / Ammodramus nelsoni

    : Breeds. but secretive late May-early Aug in salt marshes. Bass Harbor Marsh usually hosts several pairs but they breed as well in smaller marshes such as Babson Creek Preserve, on Loapus Point and even Great Duck Island.

    : but hard to detect late May-mid Jun and again mid Sep-mid Oct with to mid Nov.
