: Breeds. and, except when singing, very inconspicuous mid May-early Aug in mature deciduous and mixed woodlands with minimal groundcover and extensive leaf litter.
Migration: but rarely detected early May-early Jun with from late Apr and a mid-late May peak, and again mid Aug-early Oct with a mid Sep peak and from early Aug to mid Oct.
Miscellany: Ovenbirds are, with Black-throated Green Warblers and Common Yellowthroats, our most and warblers.
