    Palm Warbler / Setophaga palmarum

    : Breeds. and in sphagnum and black spruce bogs with the Big Heath and both sides of adjacent Route 102A being the most consistent location.

    : mid Apr-mid May with a late Apr-early May peak and from early Apr (virtually all 'Yellow' Palm Warblers), and again mid Sep-mid Oct with to late Nov ('Yellow' and 'Western' Palm Warblers), mostly on or near the ground in open woodlands, forest edges and places where migrants concentrate.

    : early Dec-early Jan.

    Miscellany: Palm Warbler is the only North American breeding species where the eastern subspecies, ‘Yellow' Palm Warbler, winters largely west of the western subspecies, ‘Western' Palm Warbler.
