: Breeds. in clusters of mature White Pines mid Apr-early Sep. The College of the Atlantic Campus and Babson Creek Preserve support multiple pairs.
: Rarely detected but probably to mid Apr-mid May and again mid Sep-mid Oct with from early Apr and to mid Nov, with a preference for pines where available.
: late Nov-Mar at feeders where they can survive on suet and seeds, most recently on Manchester Point Nov 22-27, 2024 and in Bar Harbor Dec 9-10, 2024. One mid Dec 2019 record away from human habitation was probably attempting to wintering in the wilds. May be increasing as winters continue to warm.
Miscellany: A somewhat strange, hardy warbler and the only one that regularly eats seeds. It's also the only warbler whose entire population, with small exceptions, breeds and winters in the U.S. and Canada.
