: Formerly nested in some numbers on Petit Manan Island (last nested in 2013) but only the occasional pair, if that, in years. late May-mid Jul in the vicinity of Petit Manan Island. in the same time frame with most records of single birds associating with Common and/or Arctic Terns around breeding colonies.
: Presumably mid May-mid June and again mid Aug-mid Sep but no certain records, likely due to similarity to other tern species.
Miscellany: Up until the mid 1990s, Petit Manan had around 50 pairs of breeding Roseates but numbers declined steadily. Since 2010 one or two breeding pairs have been discovered in only three years (and none of the last six). There is no known cause for the decline.
