    Seaside Sparrow / Ammodramus maritimus

: Aug 8-25, 1985 and Sep 2-3, 2019, both from Mount Desert Rock and both in juvenile plumage.

Miscellany: Seasides are a southern, salt marsh-loving sparrow that just reaches southern Maine in very small numbers . Given their skulking non-breeding manners, it's not surprising that our two birds were discovered on Mount Desert Rock, where there's no good place to hide.
