    Tufted Duck / Aythafuligula

    Wanderer: Nov 14-Dec 4, 1999 and Oct 22, 2020 , both off Hadley Point.

Miscellany: Our birds probably came from Iceland as small numbers of Icelandic birds winter annually in Newfoundland, but the intriguing possibility remains that some may join flocks of their close relative, Greater Scaup, in Alaska and follow them east to the scaup's northeast Atlantic Coast wintering grounds.
