    Veery / Catharus fuscescens

    : breeder late May-early Aug in moist second growth deciduous but no confirmed records. Hard to detect unless vocalizing, Sings and calls most frequently early morning and early evening.

    Migration: mid-late May with to early Jun, and again mid Aug-mid Sep with a peak late Aug/early Sep. Often silent and furtive in alder swales, moist second growth woodlands and places where migrants concentrate. Most frequently detected calling overhead on nights with active migration.
