: Breeds. mid May-early Aug in tall deciduous trees primarily around towns and villages or along the edge of lakes and streams. The Sieur de Monts area has supported nesting pairs. Hard to detect unless vocalizing.
: mid May-mid June and again mid Aug-mid Sep. Prefers deciduous woodlands and places where migrants congregate.
Miscellany: Our area is at the northeastern edge of Eastern Warbling Vireo's breeding range but populations may be increasing. Warbling Vireo use to be a continent spanning species but in 2025 it was divided into Eastern and Western Warbling Vireo (Vireo swainsoni). There is as yet no known way to visually separate these two species.
