: Not confirmed as a breeder but a few seemingly territorial individuals have occurred early Jun-mid Jul, and it's a local breeder elsewhere in Hancock and Washington Counties in alder tickets and shrubby wetlands
: late May-early Jun with to mid Jun and mid July-early Sep but few data as at present silent birds can't be separated with certainty from Alder Flycatcher.
Miscellany: Until the 1970s, Alder and Willow Flycatcher were considered the same species, Traill's Flycatcher, even though they had quite different songs. Research determined they each deserved full species status. You can hear the primary songs of both species, Willow here and Alder here.
