Migration: mid May-early Jun with from early May and again mid Aug-late Sep with to mid Oct in moist areas where migrants concentrate.
Miscellany: Alexander Wilson, the notable late 17th/early 18th century ornithologist, has at present, and in addition to Wilson's Warbler, a storm-petrel, a snipe, a phalarope and a plover named after him.
